Waiting on Wednesday: Fire Walker by Josephine Angelini

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine, which spotlights upcoming releases we are eagerly anticipating.

Fire Walker by Josephine Angelini
Release Date: September 1, 2015

Josephine Angelini revealed the cover to Fire Walker, the second book in her World Walker trilogy, last week.  While I thought there was a lot of world building and setup involved in the first book, the last third was action packed.  Fire Walker should pick up where we left off, which should make for an amazing read.  I love the magical elements and hope the personal relationships will continue to develop throughout the series.

Goodreads Overview:

Worlds divide, magic slays, and love lies in the second book of Josephine Angelini’s The Worldwalker Trilogy.

You think I’m a monster, but my choices, as ruthless as they seem, are justified.

Lily is back in her own universe, and she's ready to relax with Rowan. True, she almost died in the Pyre that fueled their escape, and must hide her magic for the safety of the world, but compared to fighting the monstrous Woven and leading armies in the alternate Salem, life is looking good.

Unfortunately, Lillian, ruthless ruler of the 13 Cities, is not willing to let Lily go that easily. If she can’t persuade Lily to return to her world, she’ll have to find a way to make her come back.

    1. I loved Angelini's Starcrossed series. Book 1 in this series had a slow start, but ended with a bang. This book should be great if it is a continuation.
